Astra is a unique bike lamp that stands out from the rest. Its single side aluminum arm not only adds durability but also allows the lamp to float in the middle of the handlebar, providing the widest beam range possible. The Astra also features a perfect cut-off line, ensuring that the beam does not cause glare to people on the other side of the road.
What sets Astra apart is its ability to seamlessly blend function into its design. The revolutionary aluminum integrated body not only adds to the lamp's aesthetic appeal but also enhances its performance. The Astra is a true example of form meeting function.
With an output of 600lm, the Astra provides ample brightness for safe nighttime cycling. It has also received the Germany K-mark Bikelight certification, ensuring its quality and reliability.
The Astra was realized using an aluminum integrated unibody, a technology that allows for a seamless and durable construction. This design choice not only adds to the lamp's sleek appearance but also ensures its longevity.
The Astra project started in April 2015 in HsinChu, Taiwan and was completed in February 2016. During the design process, extensive research was conducted on existing bike lamps in the market. The goal was to find a way to combine the hard mount and lamp body in a stylish and clever manner. The result is the Astra, a bike lamp that not only illuminates the road but also adds a touch of elegance to any bicycle.
The Astra has received recognition for its outstanding design. It was awarded the Silver A' Design Award in the Product Engineering and Technical Design category in 2016. This prestigious award is given to designs that demonstrate exceptional expertise, innovation, and creativity. The Astra's strong technical characteristics and splendid artistic skill make it a truly remarkable design.
